There are different categories of guide roller carriages, namely linear roller bearings and guide rollers. Linear roller bearings form a bearing ring system for linear movements with an unlimited stroke length. They are suitable for fixed, fixed bearing and floating bearing configurations and have a very high load capacity. The installation area required, on the other hand, is extremely small, making it easy to install. The guides can be prestressed using adjustment wedges. As the roller guides are available in many shapes and sizes, they are suitable for numerous applications in general mechanical engineering. They are also extremely suitable for linear guides in machine tools. In order to set the prestressing accurately, they are supplemented with adjustment wedges, adapters designed to ensure easy assembly of linear roller bearings in a 45° configuration, and equipment suitable for measuring the deformation of the connecting construction when prestressing forces have to be absorbed.
Guide rollers consist of one or more aluminium guide roller carriages and are fitted with profiled rollers and straight or curved support rails. The guide roller carriages are available in several variants such as a hollow version or a version with pivoting points that is suitable for curved, oval or circular guides.
