A wide range of welding devices and tools are available, for example welding guns, welding clamps and cutting pliers. These tools are available separately, but also as a complete set in a welding case on request. This case contains all the tools that are required to weld a belt.
Welding guns and clamps are available in several models, so that belts with different thicknesses and/or widths can be welded. With a welding gun, a belt is welded using the heat output: the gun is heated up, which melts the PU and a welding connection is formed. There are also welding guns that create the welding connection via friction. Here, the ends of the belt are rubbed against each other at such a high speed that they are melted, which forms the connection.
What are referred to as "round belt connectors" are also available. This is because PU round belts are also available in a hollow design. As a result, their ends are fastened together using connectors, rather than being welded.
Should a large power surge occur, there is a danger that the belt will slacken. In such cases, a plastic support profile can be used, and if necessary, strengthened by a steel or stainless steel profile.
