FORMAT Cutting disc for steel machining type 8059

Design: Aluminium oxide (A60 1.0 mm thick), tough, aluminium oxide (A46 from 1.6?1.9 mm thick), tough and aluminium oxide (A24 from 2.5?3.0 mm thick), tough, with fibre-reinforced resin bond for long life and grinding performance. Standard bore 22.23 mm.

Application: For universal use in all areas of metal work. The thin detachable discs (1.0 mm thick) are ideal for fast, convenient cutting and edging, 1.6 and 1.9 mm thickness for universal cutting tasks and 2.5 to 3.0 mm for maximum tool life with high lateral stability.

Note: For more safety and higher lateral stability working with detachable discs from 178 mm Ø we recommend using a spanner flange, see (Order no. 8110 0010).

Important note for working with stainless steel:

For working with stainless steel generally only iron and sulphur-free tools are recommended.A tool used for jobs on ordinary steel should never be used for stainless steel. Residue from ordinary steel can be left on the tool. These residues destroy any stainless steel alloy and lead to the formation of rust on the machined stainless steel. Even sparks from machining ordinary steel can damage stainless steel alloys.
