There are different types of slewing rings. Slewing rings are produced in a diameter of 0.3–4.5 metres and are generally used for heavy loads and low rotational speeds or oscillation. They can support high loads and have a long useful life. Due to their design, slewing rings are able to absorb radial and axial loads. Slewing rings are often used horizontally. Most of the sizes are available with inner or outer toothing. Slewing rings are available in the following configurations:
Single row ball bearing, double row ball bearing, cross roller bearing, triple row roller bearing, roller/ball bearing combination and with internal/external toothing with straight or spiral teeth. Slewing rings are used for various applications. Examples include heavy tools or industrial machines, medical devices, aerospace and production equipment. Slewing rings offer a good price-quality ratio.
