Oil and Gas Industry

Oil and Gas Industry

The conditions under which oil and gas are extracted are challenging enough as it is. Factors such as location, climate, environment and politics are decisive for all strategic decisions. It is a fascinating industry and we have been a successful part of it for decades.

We are aware of the standards, specific requirements, rules and operating pressures. Costly downtime is also not an option. Maintenance must be fast, safe and reliable, and that is our strength. ERIKS is out in front when it comes to qualified development of compounds for this industry.

Approval

ERIKS can supply compounds that meet the strict standards of NORSOK.
The NORSOK standards have been developed by the Norwegian oil industry to guarantee adequate safety and to deliver added value and improve cost-effectiveness in both the developments and activities of this industry.

A team of experienced Application Engineers can work with you to develop a seal for your application. It does not matter whether this is a standard seal or a completely bespoke seal specific to your needs. ERIKS has the knowledge and the resources needed to develop this for you. For the NORSOK M710 compounds these resources include full traceability of a seal and its related batch data.

Applications

Seals and technical components used in the oil and gas industry are deployed in many different applications. Typical applications include:
- Offshore production platforms
- Distribution of oil and natural gas
- Natural gas production
- Power generation
