Type and angle of the cut are determined by the particular application, whereby one differentiates between cut 1 ? for rough machining, cut 2 ? half smooth/universal and cut 3 ? finishing. Ideal tooth geometry for each application. The length of the file is measured without the tang from the tip to the attachment.
