Use 3M™ Cubitron™ ll Cloth Backing Strip 784F for longer lasting, faster and more consistent cutting than aluminum oxide strips. The precise combination of shaped ceramic material and high quality aluminum oxide ensures optimum cutting in moderate pressure grinding and polishing applications. Our cloth backing belts offer exceptional cutting speed and self-regenerate during grinding. These high performance belts provide an economical solution for moderate pressure applications that are not suitable for using an all-ceramic belt. With their water-resistant polyester backing, these bands can be used wet or dry. To protect heat sensitive alloys including stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys from stress cracking or heat discoloration, a grinding aid has been added to reduce operating temperatures. In addition, the abrasive is securely bonded to the resin backing to maintain its durability during high temperature and pressure operations. Coarse grits (36-80) feature YF weight support, while finer grits (120-180) use lighter XF weight support. Both weights provide moderate flexibility and conform to light contours and flat surfaces.
