Approval and Classification

When working with food, it is important to reduce the risk of contamination. That is why there are clear guidelines for the use of food-safe materials. These guidelines are laid down by the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for the American market and European Directive EC1935/2004 for the European market. To ensure food safety, use ERIKS rubber compounds that comply with the requirements of both the FDA and EC 1935/2004.

Applications

Seals are used in many different applications. ERIKS also supplies rubber compounds that are suitable for general use in a very diverse range of applications. Seals can be used in:
- Sanitary facilities (bathrooms, toilets)
- Construction & utilities (foundation piles, pipe sections)
- Garden products (garden hoses, swimming pool pumps, pond pumps)
- Household articles (detergent caps, spray bottles)
- Mould making
- Steel construction and machine construction
- Transport
