This black Kalrez®FFKM O-ring has been specially developed for the food and pharmaceutical industries (USP class 6). The product is resistant to most chemicals and can also withstand high temperatures. You find this product in both static applications and slow, dynamic applications.

Application

Temperature resistanceThe Kalrez® 6230 O-ring has a temperature resistance up to +260°C. Maximum pressureCompound 6230 has a Shore A hardness of 75. This means that this O-ring is suitable for applications with a maximum pressure of 80 bars. Furthermore, the guidelines in the chart below must be adhered to. This chart shows the relationship between hardness, pressure and the dimensions of the groove and the seal clearance gap. Are you going to use this O-ring seal in a slow, dynamic application with a pressure of 50 bars or higher? If so, you are advised to use back-up rings.Chemical resistanceThis material offers good chemical resistance across an extremely broad spectrum. So it is ideal for applications involving high temperatures and strong chemicals.
