This gland packing material from HAMAR is one of the most universally used pump gaskets. The product is widely used in applications involving centrifugal pumps, mixers, agitators and reciprocating rods. It consists of a PTFE graphite compound (woven from 100% GFO expanded PTFE fibres) and also contains a silicone-based running-in lubricant. In addition, this gland packing is approved by the FMPA institute for the food industry and has good thermal conductivity. You can easily install this product in your application.

Application

Temperature resistance
This gland packing has an operating temperature range of -100°C to +280°C.

Chemical resistance
This gland packing is resistant to a wide range of chemicals. There are some exceptions however. For example, this product cannot withstand molten alkali metals, fluorine, oleum, fuming nitric acid and strong oxidising agents in the range of pH=0-2. Furthermore, this gland packing seal is not suitable for abrasive fluids.

Hardness
A shaft hardness of 25 HRC is recommended when you use this gland packing seal.
