This black Kalrez®O-ring is suitable for use as a seal in slow, dynamic applications involving steam and oil. This product is resistant to high temperatures and strong chemicals in combination with high pressure. It is widely used in the chemical process industry and offshore oil and gas industry.

Application

Temperature resistance
The Kalrez® 7090 O-ring has a very high operating temperature range, specifically from -26°C to +325°C.

Maximum pressure
Compound 7090 has a Shore A hardness of 90. In static applications, you use this O-ring at a pressure of 70 bars or higher. We advise you to purchase additional back-up rings from ERIKS to prevent seal extrusion. You should also adhere to the guidelines in the chart below. This chart shows the relationship between hardness, pressure and the dimensions of the groove and the seal clearance gap.

Are you going to use this O-ring in a slow, dynamic application with a pressure of 50 bars or higher? We advise you to use back-up brings in that case.
